Montague Siblings Series

Bridgerton fans and lovers of historical fiction in general with absolutely love this New York Times bestselling and Stonewall Honor award-winning trilogy. This series is set in eighteenth-century Britain and follows the love life and adventures of three siblings, Adrian, Monty and Felicity, with each book focusing on one sibling and the particular challenges they face. Monty is on a Grand Tour of Europe with his best friend/secret crush Percy. Felicity wants to avoid getting proposed to and become a doctor. And Adrian is learning to manage his anxiety whilst in pursuit for some answers that would explain certain family secrets.

Simon Snow Series

This YA series is full of magic, ghosts, adolescent love, mystery and melodrama. To know the bestselling author is to love her and we couldn't recommend this fantasy series more for readers aged 12+. The books follow a final-year student at the Watford School of Magicks, only he's special: he is the most powerful magician the world has ever known. These are the books for readers who want to know what happens to the Chosen One after he saved the day. Main character Simon still goes on many adventures, but these books have all the angst and love drama that keep readers glued to the page. 

Anna and the French Kiss Series

If you love young love, being swept off your feet and the feeling of first kisses, this YA romance series by Stephanie Perkins is for you!

Each book tells a different love story, so you won't have to read them in any particular order. We start off with Anna, who has been sent off by her family to Paris for her senior year. She doesn't have any friends there, nor does she speak language, but she is set to have her very own French kiss. Then there's Lola, whose reality is rocked when an old acquaintance comes back to town. And finally Isla, who fights for the love she's always wished for whilst travelling around New York, Paris and Barcelona.

These Violent Delights Series

These Violent Delights is the book series that will get you hooked on 1920s Shanghai at the flip of the first page. If you love the enemies-to-lovers trope, look no further, as this is the best Romeo and Juliet retelling we've had in such a long time!  A blood feud between two gangs runs the streets red, leaving the city in the grip of chaos. Better Than the Movies Series

If you love a good trope in your YA romance reads, the Better Than the Movies books by Lynn Painter will not disappoint. We've got enemies to lovers, grumpy vs sunshine and second chances with this duology. 

Liz Buxbaum and Wes Bennet have grown up living next door to each other. And let's just say they don't particularly love each other's company! In fact, they can't stand each other. But then Wes becomes good friends with Liz's all-time crush, and she has no choice but to use him to get the prom invite she so covets. She will end up realising that she possibly likes being around Wes more than she'd care to admit. But things aren't as straightforward as they seem... And will they last beyond school? 

Heartstopper Series

The Heartstopper books are a series of graphic novels that tell a wonderful boy-meets-boy queer love story. Written by award-winning YA author Alice Oseman, the Heartstopper graphic novels have now been made into a major live-action TV show. Heartstopper came to Netflix in 2022, starring Kit Connor (the voice of Pan in His Dark Materials) and newcomer Joe Locke as Nick and Charlie. It is a gorgeous coming of age story about love, friendship, loyalty and mental illness. We follow the blossoming romance between Charlie and Nick as they meet, become friends and start to fall in love. The sensitive content in some of the later books, means we recommend them for readers 13/14+.

The Kissing Booth Series

Now a major Netflix film starring Joey King, The Kissing Booth books are a brilliant first step into the wonderful world of YA romance. Elle Evans is pretty, popular - and never been kissed. So of course when she decides to run a kissing booth for the school carnival, she never imagines she'll sit in it. Or that her first kiss ever will be with Noah Flynn, the cool boy at school - and a total player. But even if they do last, how will things work as they get older and Noah goes off to college? And should Elle follow him when her time comes? You'll have to read on to find out, but this high-school romance series is the perfect read if you're into feel-good stories that'll make you swoon. 

An XOXO Novel Series

K-drama and K-pop lovers, come together! This is a heartwarming YA romance series featuring different, but interconnected, characters in each book. First we meet our swoon-worthy duo, Jenny and Jaewoo. They both love music, but are from different worlds: she is an award-winning cellist, while he is a K-pop superstar. While Jaewoo is strictly forbidden from dating anyone, Jenny cannot risk getting distracted. The rest of the series offers a lovely story of forbidden love too, also featuring a K-pop star. Both couples will have to figure out how to make things work; after all, every true romantic knows that love can conquer all. 

Loveboat Series

Loveboat is a New York Times bestselling YA romance series by the brilliant Abigail Hing Wen. It is also now a Paramount+ movie starring Ashley Liao. 

All The Boys I've Loved Before Series

To All the Boys I've Loved Before is a heart-warming series about two teenagers who fall in love after fake dating. The series is now a Netflix film franchise starring Noah Centino and Lana Condor, and a spin-off series has also been created starring Anna Cathcart. It all starts with a bunch of letters that main character Lara Jean has written to each and every single boy she has ever loved. Her letters are of course a complete secret ... until her sister decides to send them out to every boy she's ever written to privately. And each and every one of them finds out, including the super popular sports jock Peter Kavinsky. Though she doesn't love him anymore, she is open to fake-dating him to save herself from any further embarrassment. And this is just the beginning of their story.
