Sanja Rescek studied graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. She is the youngest illustrator to win the Grigor Vitez Award in Croatia. She has also won the Welcome Award for the best new illustrator presented by the Association of Visual Artists of Croatia, and the award given by the public at the Interliber Bookfair. More than twenty of her picture books have been published in Croatia, Switzerland, Great Britain, Canada and the United States including Buggy Buddies Fairy Moonbeam.
