Orville Aimey was a teacher in Barbados for over 40 years both at Primary and Secondary level, during which time he was Head of the Department of English at Deighton Griffith Secondary School. He spent three years as an Education Officer in Language Arts in the Ministry of Education, Barbados before becoming a tutor in English and Communication at Barbados Community College. Orville holds a B.A (Hons.) in English, History, Sociology and economics from the University of the West Indies and an M.Ed. in Curriculum Planning and Instruction from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, U.S.A. He is also a Fellow of the Organization of American States (OAS).
Amaral Soyer has 19 years teaching experience and presently teaches at Harrison College, Barbados. She holds a B.A in English, Linguistics and Education, and a Diploma in Education with a distinction in the Practice of Education.
Samuel Soyer has 21 years teaching experience and currently works at Erdiston Teachers, Training College, Barbados and is a part-time tutor and facilitator for poetry workshops at the Cave Hill Campus, University of the West Indies. Samuel holds a B.A in Special English from the University of the West Indies and MA in teaching from Union College, New York. He is the author of several study guides on literature
