A lover a jazz music and great hats, Samuel E. Pittman II teaches English language arts at a Texas middle school. He also coaches track and field, so he knows a thing or two about struggle. Pittman earned a BA in English with a minor in coaching from Texas A&M. He lives in College Station, Texas and spends his free time listening to music, reading and writing, and gardening--where he's sure to keep an eye out for any weaselly rodents. As a former artist at Hallmark Studios, Sheila Bailey knows all about creating images that can celebrate happy times as well as ones that can help people get through difficult changes and struggles. She earned a degree in graphic design from San Jose State University and worked at the famous Will Vinton Studios, creating animations. Bailey lives on Sauvie Island in Portland, Oregon with her husband and daughter, where she surfs and creates art as a freelance illustrator.
