Samuel Lawrence is an author and illustrator based in Berkshire. After 5 years working in the print industry, he decided to go back to higher education to study Illustration at the University of Westminster, London. He works mainly in traditional media, including watercolour and acrylics. Samuel Lawrence's interests lie in identity, social issues and animals. He cleverly creates animal characters with human characteristics, which then become part of a story where they have to deal with sensitive subject matter. Subject matter that children need to understand as a part of growing up.
