Naomi Benari has an MA in Dance Studies. She danced with Ballet Rambert and Israel Opera before setting up 'Dance for Everyone', the first dance company in the UK to work solely in education giving workshops and performances specially designed for each age group and making teaching videos. For many years she taught dance to deaf children, using 'Inner Rhythm', a method she developed herself ('Inner Rhythm', Harwood Academic Publishers, 1995). Since qualifying as a registered Dance/Movement Therapist, she has specialised in lecturing on and working with children with early development and special needs. She has written an article on her work with deaf children, based on her book 'Inner Rhythm', in an anthology of articles on music and movement with hard-of-hearing and deaf children 'Hearing - Feeling - Playing', edited by Shirley Salmon, published in German in 2006 and reprinted in English in 2008.
