Luci Shaw has been a part of several translation projects, working with Ken Taylor in the 1970s on The Living Bible, acting as English stylist for both The Psalms and The Books of Wisdom in Eugene Peterson's The Message, and for the Committee on Bible Translation in sections of its translation of the Bible, Today's New International Version. An award-winning poet and essayist, she is the author of many books including Water My Soul: Cultivating the Interior Life (Zondervan). Since 1988, she has served as Writer in Residence at Regent College, Vancouver. Sr. Huai-Kuang Miao is a member of Stages Theatre Company on Cape Cod and works as a stage designer for large theatrical productions. She is a member of The Community of Jesus, a Benedictine style religious community in Orleans, Massachusetts. This is her first children's book.
