Zoe Greaves trained as an actress but her love of books took over. She gave up acting to become a bookseller and write. The illustrator Leslie Sadleir qualified as a graphic designer and worked in publishing. She rediscovered her love of illustration when she began to collaborate with her daughter Zoe.
