Leslie Hampson's creative endeavours have varied in success and impact, ranging from work as a chef, a drummer in a Beatles tribute band, a tourism manager, music promoter, self builder, songwriter and actor (including work on a Discovery Channel costume drama). Other creative challenges have involved working for the Arts Council and in local government. Now a carpenter, Leslie is married with 4 daughters and lives Devon. The Big Cheese is his first book.
Fi McGoldrick trained as a musician at the Birmingham Conservatoire and has gone on to work in a variety of roles in the arts. A lover of ukuleles, she is a composer and songwriter and developed an interest in illustration when a friend gave her a set of pencils. Fi lives with her wife and son in Birmingham with 4 chickens, 2 cats, 3 guinea pigs and Stanley the dog. This is her first book.
