Laura Hughes is an award-winning illustrator based in London, UK. She loves picture books and has illustrated many titles for children including There's a Pig Up My Nose, written by John Dougherty; Daddy's Sandwich by Pip Jones and We're Going on an Elf Chase by Martha Mumford.
There's a Pig Up My Nose was the winner of Oscar's Book Prize 2018, an annual award for the best book for children aged under five.
Laura's illustrations are loose, energetic and have a human touch. Inks are her favourite medium, but she also loves working with gouache paint and crayons. When she's finished making a mess at her desk, she scans and edits her images digitally.
