Julia lives with her family and three distant cousins of tigers, plus one wolf relative, near Baltimore, Maryland. Tammy Gagne has written more than 100 books for both adults and children. She lives in northern New England with her husband, son, and a menagerie of animals. Christine Zuchora-Walske studied literature, communications, and publishing at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Denver. She has been writing books and magazine articles for 20 years. In addition to animal titles, she has written books on history and current events. Her books have made appearances on the IRA Teachers' Choice list and the NSTA/CBC Outstanding Science Trade Books for Students list. Lori Polydoros is a children's book author and freelance writer of more than 75 stories and books for kids. She pens fiction and non-fiction for the library and educational market. Lori's non-fiction titles range from animals to extreme sports. She has also published many stories in the "Los Angeles Times' Kids' Reading Room" page. But most of all, Lori loves writing picture books and novels for middle grade readers. Many of her fiction titles are set in unusual places around the world. Lori has won several awards for her picture books and novels. She presents at author festivals and schools and teaches creative writing classes for all ages.
