JOYCE COOPER ARKHURST is the author of The Adventures of Spider and More Adventures of Spider (published by Scholastic in 1980). She lives in New York City.

He has also won the Coretta Scott King Award five times, the Coretta Scott King Honor four times, and was nominated for the prestigious international Hans Christian Anderson Award. He lives in Croton-on-Hudson, New York.
