Howard Chaykin is responsible for some of the most innovative and influential comics of the last several decades, including "American Flagg," "Black Kiss," and updated versions of "Blackhawk" and "The Shadow." He adapted several science fiction novels into graphic novel format, including Alfred Bester's "The Stars My Destination," Roger Zelazny's "Empire," and Michael Moorcock's "The Swords of Heaven, The Flowers of Hell." Chaykin also worked on concepts for the movie "Robocop," and wrote for TV series including "The Flash," "Viper" and "Earth: Final Conflict."
