Dr Giuseppina Scotto di Carlo was born in Trevose, Pennsylvania, USA, on July 9, 1983. She holds a PhD in English for Special Purposes (ESP) from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, and is currently working as an English teacher at the Faculty of Law of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples. Her publications include Vagueness as a Political Strategy: Weasel Words in Security Council Resolutions Relating to the Second Gulf War (2013) and The Role of Proximity in Online Popularisations: The Case of TED Talks (2015).
