Ella Burfoot is a talented author/illustrator who has written and illustrated three previous picture books, including DARKNESS SLIPPED IN (978 0 330 51257 2), which was shortlisted for the 2008 British Book Design and Production Awards and nominated for the 2009 CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal. Ella earned both her undergraduate and Masters degrees in illustration from the University of Falmouth, and now lives with her husband and young daughter in Dorset.
