Dawn McMillan is a successful New Zealand author, having written both educational and trade publications. Her first book published by Reed, Sea Secrets, was a best seller and she has followed this up with A Fishing Story, Why do Dogs Sniff Bottoms? - the Children's Choice winner in the 2003 New Zealand Post Children's Book Awards, Summer Blaze and, most recently, Doggy Doo on my Shoe. Dawn teaches part-time at a small school on the Thames Coast. She lives with her husband Derek and their cat Pippi. Dave Gunson haws been writting and illustrating books for children and adults over many years. Most recently he has written Kiwi 123 and Kiwi of the Great Forest. He lives and works near the bush in Auckland with his wife, Barbara, and their cat, Molly, who supervises all Dave's work.
