Chris Jaffe was born in High Wycombe in the 1980s. He studied illustration at the University of Portsmouth, before embarking on a freelance career. His first step into the creative world was a humble one, producing a weekly cartoon for a University Student Newspaper. Subsequently he has had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of clients, producing a broad range of creative designs. Since having won the National Illustration Award from the UK's Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART UK) in successive years, Chris Jaffe's creative talents have been unstoppable! Based on adventures and mischief, his work is distinctive and instantly distinguishable, employing the use of warm colour washes beneath ink outlines. With a vibrant background, he is able to keep the illustrations light-hearted and humorous, whilst still being able to maintain more serious themes of morality that should be a 'must-have' in any good children's book.
