Barbara van Rheenen (1967, Amsterdam) was raised in a big family where music and art were always present. Drawing became her favourite hobby. She worked for Greenpeace for four years and fell in love with whales. When she is not illustrating she works in the shipping and boat industry, the world of the sea.
