Carrying on in the nonsense-verse tradition of Dr. Seuss, Edward Lear and Lewis Caroll, the witty and jubilant poetry-tales of Indian writer Anushka Ravishankar are internationally acclaimed, widely translated, and honoured with innumerable awards. Anushka has authored over 18 books. Piet Grobler is an extremely accomplished South African Illustrator who has illustrated over fifty fictional and educational children's books. Piet studied Theology at the University of Pretoria and Journalism at the University of Stellenbosch, and went on to take up varied careers, first as a Minister of Religion, then as a graphic designer for an advertising agency, and finally as a freelance illustrator. In his career Piet has staged a number of solo and group exhibitions at galleries like the Clyde House Gallery, University of Stellenbosch Gallery, Prim Art Gallery, CapeTown and Beaux Arts Gallery, Bath, United Kingdom. Piet has published with publishers all over the world, and won awards at several international competitions, including the Octogone De Chene, France, the Primo Alpi Apuane, Italy and two silvers at the prestigious NOMA concourse for children's book illustrators in Japan.
