Elizabeth Thomas was born in 1960 in Paris. After completing a degree in Chinese, she taught French at Tamkiang University in Taipei. She now lives in southwest France, where she still teaches French. She is the co-author of La Chine du XIXeme siecle a nos jours (China from the 19th century to the present day) (Editions Autrement Junior) with Pascal Pilon, who is now a drama teacher after having worked as a teacher in China.
