This is an amazing book, i think it hasn't gotten enough recognition. Where the girls have to take refuge, they have to disguise themselves as boys to be accepted in a dojo. The troubles they have to face whilst competing with other boys and maintaining their identity as male is entertaining and keeps you on edge for what is about to happen. They're strong and independent and give a whole new meaning to girl power! This was a good read

I liked Marthas character, from the outside i too would view her very weird but getting to know her perspective i find that her character is likeable, she is strong and is able to stand up for herself even though she gets bullied and is brought up on strong strong set of values. Her friendship formation with Scott was nice.
This book is like a mystery because i got curious on what exactly they were referring to as 'abomination'. This book is a real page turner, didnt take me long to finish.
