Jay Dale is the lead author and consultant for Engage Literacy. Jay comes from a teaching background, having taught in both Australia and Japan. She is also an experienced editor and publisher. An accomplished children's book author, Jay has written extensively for leading educational publishers and has many successful titles currently in print. Jay has also authored and published electronic products including teaching objects for interactive whiteboards and digital activities for children. Nadia Ronquillo was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Ever since she could remember, she had a pencil in her hand. She spent her entire childhood drawing and painting in coloring books or sketchbooks. During her youth, she attended several art courses that introduced her to different painting techniques. She even had the opportunity to paint murals every once in a while. Nadia gained a bachelor's degree in Design and Audiovisual Production, but Illustration and Visual Development is what she loves to do the most. She has illustrated children's books for Benchmark Education, Lightbooks-Publishing, Cognition Education and more. She has also worked on various animation projects for publicity spots. When she is not sketching or painting, she's reading books or obsessing over a new k-drama. When not writing for Engage Literacy, Kelly works as an intervention specialist for primary and secondary school-aged children. She lives in Victoria, Australia. Alessia was Born in southern Italy in 1990 but she grew up in Rome, where she still lives. She has wanted to be an illustrator since she was a child. After a Degree in the Animation course of the International School of Comics based in Rome in 2013, Alessia has worked as Background Artist for some of the most important roman animation studios. She currently works as a freelance artist on various Animation and illustration projects.
