Lucy Montgomery was born in Linton, Kent in 1955. After studying French and music at Homerton College, Cambridge she taught Primary French in Kent and London before getting married in 1983 and moving to East Kent. In 1991 she opened an 'after school' French club called Ecole Alouette in a converted barn on the family farm. All her books have been written whilst teaching primary aged children the French language. Her great interests are Anglo French history, music, walking and visiting Scotland as much as possible.
