Raffi is a little raccoon who lives with his mother high up in the branches of Old Father Oak. One chilly morning, as he pokes his nose out of the den, Raffi sees a beautiful golden leaf at the end of a branch. But, as he reaches out for it, it flutters away to the ground. All around him, more and more leaves begin to fall. What is wrong with Father Oak, Raffi wonders? Raffi's mother soon explains that it is autumn and, as they prepare for their Winter Sleep, she gives Raffi five little acorns to plant - and when spring finally arrives, a lovely surprise awaits him! This charming picture book is an ideal introduction to the four seasons, with adorable characters and beautifully rendered illustrations from an exciting new talent: Mei Matsuoka.
