"Inside American History" goes far beyond a basic collection of historic documents. Designed to meet the needs of high school students, undergraduates, and the general public, this comprehsnsive CD-ROM spans American history from 1492 to the present. The CD-ROM features: over 800 documents; 400 photos and illustrations; 30 minutes of video clips; and 90 minutes of audio clips. Each entry begins with a lively, informative discussion of the document's historical context and significance. Students who want to learn more about a particular subject will find a recommended reading list readily available at the click of a button. All documents are indexed by author, date curriculum area, subject and title, and all photos, video clips, and audio clips are also indexed. Both field searching and full Boolean searching are available.
