Upon arrival at her new boarding school, The Brakem Academy, 8 year old Beatrice Bollingbrook-Drivelington is welcomed by the headmaster, Dr Bruit, an ogre of a man who ruled with an iron fist. Hot on their stern sails a mix of the most diabolical villains the world has ever known, plus Captain Algernon Righteous of the British navy who is determined to bring the children to justice and execution.
