Wouldn't it be great if you could build a home that opened its doors to everyone - tall or short, fat or thin, rich or poor... Well, perhaps if everybody pitches in to help, one little mouse can achieve that dream.
This heart-warming story is brought to life with clever die-cuts and playful illustrations.

What a beautiful book to share. The book looks appealing right from the start, warm and welcoming, the type of book you look forward to reading on a rainy day snuggled up with your children on the sofa.
The illustrations are lovely, the little girl I shared the book with was excited to see the different animals on each page and who needed to share a home next. She loved the expressions on the animals faces and looking at the jobs they were doing together to build the home.
We also loved the different size pages and the quality of the paper makes it very durable for the more heavy handed little readers.
The message in the book and the discussions it prompts regarding equality ,compassion ,empathy and support make it a valuable learning tool and a fantastic resource.
Thank you so much, it will be very well read and loved.

It's a beautiful book with heartwarming story. The story explains the beauty of diversity and tolerance through easy sentences and beautiful pictures.
I'm so happy that I introduce this book to my little girls. They love reading this book with me and we talked about the importance of friendship and kindness towards others.

A truly beautifully written and illustrated book with a very important message about ensure all people are welcome. My five year old is in foundation class and is reminded that she should include all the children in her playtime. And how lovely it is to invite different people and friends in to our home. The book illustrations were beautiful and the cut out pages attracted her to turn the pages. Definitely a book we will read regularly and encourage the powerfully message. My 9 month listened too and enjoyed the story.

This is truly a lovely book with an empowering message.

First of all, the book is printed on lovely paper, and it has nice cut out details and flaps, which kids love.

Also the pictures are beautiful.

However, what is more beautiful - is the message of hope & unity and how all the animals work together to create a new home. At a time of political & social unease in the UK and the wider refugee crisis - this book is very timely and helps kids make sense and choose a better way of living in such a chaotic world.

At the end of the day, my son really enjoyed this book - so it is a big thumbs up from us.

Such a beautiful book with a fab message to match, everyone working together to build something beautiful.

This simple to read rhyming story kept my daugthers intrest throughout along with the illustrations that are really stunning, we also enjoyed the page layout as thier are some half pages almost like a lift the flap book.

I feel this book will become a favourite in our house in no time.

A really beautiful book with a beautiful message. The cut out pages are really unusual and the illustrations are very sweet. My daughter liked the half pages and got lots of pleasure turning them herself. The book sees a little mouse with a big dream for the future, to include everyone in a big happy house.
With the refugee crisis and social unease it is a lovely way to bring the idea of inclusion and friendship to young children.
It tries to teach children to be kind and welcoming to all through difficult times. That everyone is welcome.

They say you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but in this instance, I think you should. I felt it was a lovely and inviting cover, making me all the more eager to take a look at the story inside. The contents didn't disappoint.... with a gentle rhyming style throughout and lovely illustrations that help bring the story to life. We loved the unusual style of the half pages and the even smaller ones towards the end of the book. While the story introduces lots of different animals it concentrates on the skills and abilities each animal has and how their individuality is embraced and welcomed. The animals work alongside each other to complete the building of a house where they can all shelter and be safe together. We loved the little (late) snail and the frog that showers in the rain.

This is a very good quality book. The pictures are beautiful and the pages are interesting with cut-outs and layering. The story is one of friendship and inclusion which are lovely morals to talk about. My daughter really loved the different animals on each page and how they interacted together. I am looking for other books by the same author/publisher to buy as we enjoyed it so much.
