My mum is the strongest mum in the world. Little Bear is sure that no-one is as strong as his mum. She can carry anything: his bike, Zebra's shopping, Elephant's carpet and even . . . Flamingo's piano! And of course, there's ALWAYS room in her handbag for Little Bear's treasures. But even mums can get tired and need a helping hand sometimes, as Little Bear learns when Mum takes on one thing too many, with hilarious and heart-warming consequences. The Strongest Mum is a warm, funny and original story about a parent-child relationship, perfect for learning about helping each other out. Packed full of endearing animal characters, it is sure to delight young children. Nicola Kent's bright, jewel-like colours and eye-catching illustrations make this a truly stunning picture book debut.

A really lovely book that would be the perfect gift for mothers day. Little bears mum is the strongest, she can haul all her stuff about as well as little bears and all their friends. She is always helping out, but soon it all gets too much and mummy bear needs a helping hand.
A really important idea, that even the strongest mums need help from others and need to have a rest sometimes! The little bear realises this at the end of the story and everyone comes to help. A great book about lending a hand and noticing when others need help.

This is a lovely story about a much-loved Mum who carries everything on her own. She shoulders the weight of the bag, the shopping, the bike, the kid and everyone else’s burdens too until one day it all comes crashing down. And Mum has to have a rest in her bed. And ask for help. And rest. This is a poignant reminder for us adults to ask for help to lighten our load (physical or emotional) and for littles it’s a story about appreciating that even the strongest need help sometimes. The colours are awesome and the illustrations are so cute!

This is a lovely book which me and my son have really enjoyed reading together. It explains how even though Mummy bear is the strongest mummy in the world, even she needs to take a rest sometimes when she tries to take on one thing too many. It has a really lovely moral to it which explains to little ones the importance of helping each other and not expecting one person to do everything. My son really loves this book and it has already become a bedtime favourite.

Mummy bear and little bear want to share a lovely relationship with you. It's one where we are thankful for what others do for us but also one that we take special care of. It's one that sings team work.
You see mummy bear is amazing, there is so much she can do but just like us humans there are times when she may feel a little low, or poorly, or sometimes just needs a little help from me and you.

Nicola Kent has produced a read that is both gentle and heartwarming, comical and entertaining but also so real. The bears represent how helping each other can be a beautiful thing. Wrapped in gorgeous illustrations this is a brilliant debut picture book.

This is a brilliant book and an instant favourite. We loved mum's giant bag, and of course my boys had to go and investigate what was all in my bag after reading it.

I received this in a giveaway perfectly timed for mothers day. The story is probably so familiar to mums,  but it's lovely to see a child's point of view of their mum. It's sweet and funny and my son loves it.

An absolute treat of a book and so glad it arrived just before Mothers Day.
Mum Bear is the strongest Mum- looking after her little one and helping out all her friends until inevitably she juggles too much and needs a rest! Great message for teaching children the importance of helping out, even if it's the smallest of jobs.
The colourful illustrations are wonderful and had my 3 year old engrossed as soon as the book was opened, particularly the aerial view of Mums bag- it must have about 20 items in. The level of detail the pictures show is really impressive too and gives a giggle for both adults and children e.g. their washing powder is named "Hairy".
Freya particularly liked the surprise present that Mums little one had made for her, using all the things they had collected.
All in all this is a lovely book which has already become a favourite with my eldest daughter.

I completely related to this book. Almost felt like it was written for me and therefore loved reading it to my son's. They liked the animals and naming everything in mum's bag. The pictures were lovely and the message simple. All mum's are amazing and still need a break every so often and a hand!

As soon as I started reading this book, I immediately liked it because it reminded me of my mum! There is a page with an illustration of the inside of Little Bear's Mums bag and it literally has everything in it. Just like my Mum! I loved the bright pictures and the overall moral of the story, helping others out and giving each other a break. Something every mum needs now and then. It's also lovely to see it through a childs eyes - that his Mum is invincible - and as much as we don't always feel it, we are to our children which is a lovely thought. I really enjoyed this book, as did my son.

Lovely story about how strong mummy bear is and she can try to do everything but at the end of the day she's only human and does need help. A great read especially for Mother's Day

This only arrived yesterday and has already been read a couple of times!! It's a lovely story, a lot longer than I expected!
The illustrations are lovely, particularly the page about mums handbag - my eldest loved pointing things out and asking if I had them in my bag!
I'd recommend this for a book corner but it's not a good one for bedtime - too many interesting things to look at!!

This book contains lovely brightly coloured illustrations. The message is quite touching- the mother carries more and more things, and eventually just one small extra thing proves too much to bear (pardon the pun). Her family rally round to help mum recover, and it isn't too long before she is back on her feet, but the smaller bear try to help out a bit more! My youngest son in particular loved this book, and found the characters engaging, and enjoyed counting all the items mummy bear had to carry.
