Lionel the lion does NOT like to share. After all, lions always get the lion's share. He buys all the best instruments from the music shop, all the smartest hats from the hat shop and all the brightest balloons from the balloon stall. But at Chloe's birthday party Lionel goes too far and eats ALL the cake. That's when Lionel's friends decide that something has to be done . . .

Lionel is a cake loving lion who has a little problem...
He really can't share.

Lionel seems to be attracted to what ever is in his friends hands and it eventually results in a big upset.

Filled with inviting, cheery illustrations this book is adored by my 1 and 3 year old. The theme of sharing throughout the book has encouraged much discussion about friendship, feelings and choices.

Lionel's friends are very patient with him and they try to tell him that he is doing wrong but he just won't have it as he is a lion, he proclaims.

A great book that both my daughters would give a thumbs up to.
