Hairier than Hairy Maclary, dirtier than Dirty Bertie, more shocking than Shock-headed Peter, Hugh Shampoo is a boy who will make you gasp, laugh, and wish for a hair-care regime to rival Justin Bieber's!

Hugh Shampoo won't go near scissors, brushes, or shower attachments. He simply hates having his hair washed or combed or tampered with in any way. So he's not a particularly unusual little boy. What's more unusual is that his parents are both hairdressers. Poor Hugh! But then, when his parents decide to enter the 'scissor showdown' contest, things are about to change for Hugh . . . and his messy head of hair. A story told with humour and energy and one that tackles the familiar tussle over
hair-washing faced by parents and children everywhere.

This is a well illustrated fun book, that my little boy enjoyed. Hugh hates having his hair washed, cut or even touched. But his parents are hairdressers and when there's a completion and Mr and Mrs shampoos help can't make it. Hugh comes to the rescue in a very fun way. Overall a fun book that we enjoyed.

I read a review on this book and have a few children who hate going to the hairdressers. The children aged 3 loved this book and found the funny how Hugh had such messy hair even though his parents are hairdressers. A fab illustrated book which kept the children interested and chatting to their parents and friends about what happens
If u dont look after your hair.

Hugh hates having his hair washed, a bit like my own daughter! A funny story about how his hair gets so very messy he really must wash it, but not before accidentally winning the hairdressing competition! A funny story that we all enjoyed, pretty good if your own little one isn't keen on hair washing!

My daughter chose this book at nursery. Hugh Shampoo is a big mess as he won't have it washed or brushed. My daughter thought his hair was funny as it was such a mess. Hughs parents who are hairdressers are on the final of the scissorn showdown, and they end up winning with Hugh as their model. Hugh ends up getting his hair washed and cut at the end though, which my daughter thought was good that he got it done, so he was clean
