A classic Kipper picture book about being afraid of the dark. Kipper and his friend Tiger are going camping in the woods. Tiger has a brand-new torch and Kipper has a storybook. Hopefully there aren't any monsters around ... But the wood is full of dark shadows and strange noises. And, the darker it gets, the more scared they become! Can Kipper and Tiger learn to overcome their fears? Perfect for soothing fears and worries, this classic picture book shows that sometimes things aren't quite as scary as they first seem! Kipper has been a much-loved picture book character for over 25 years.

Read to a child aged
Kipper: Kipper's Monster 9781444923834

This is a classic and very much loved by my children. I bought this when my eldest was about 1 year old and she has loved it ever since. She is now over 4. It is fun with a very gentle scariness. Most importantly it has camping and torches in it when has led to lots of play with homemade dens and torches. A perfect book.

My daughter enjoyed this book and loved the characters. It followed the excitement of going to the dark woods to being scared of a ‘monster’ to find out it was a snail. My daughter liked this but being young she did keep talking about monsters afterwards. This is her first kipper book and I expect we’ll enjoy more.

Another really good fun Kipper book. This one has some mildly scary bits when they are out in the woods and there is some screeching but overall it's a warm and comforting cosy read. Kipper and his friend Tiger have great fun making dens, camping and playing with torches and shadows - all things my two-year-old loves. Tiger features heavily in this one which made it an instant hit with my daughter as he is her favourite character after Kipper.

I loved Kipper as a child and now my children enjoy hearing it too, especially knowing I used to enjoy it too. Great stories about a loveable dog!
