Christmas is coming, but all is not well. Children are mysteriously disappearing from their beds and the country is on high alert looking for a kidnapper.
Alanis is a little girl looking forward to Christmas, but on the night of her brother's school play, she is also taken. This time the kidnapper is seen, but unbelievably it seems to have been Father Christmas himself.
Meanwhile, in Fairyland, Father Christmas is ill, the snow has not come and the wizards in charge of the Toy Factory receive a newspaper. The headline reads: ‘Father Christmas accused of kidnapping children’.
