The Beano meets the Bible. Over 60 stories in comic strip style, from artists who broughts us the Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep cartoon strips. Having worked on Sesame Street, Transformers, Beano, Dandy and Marvel cartoons. Great for reluctant readers. Fun for all ages.

I really love comic books and this Bible version was great as it told a lot of the stories that I have heard at school and church in a really fun way that was easy for me to read and understand on my own.

This is a great way to introduce children to bible stories. It’s bright and colourful. The comic style makes it much easier for them to understand what’s going on and keeps them engaged in each story.

This was a lovely book with super illustrations. It’s the ideal way to introduce kids to some of the stories in the bible covering both the Old and New Testament. Highly recommended.

This is a great book which I absolutely love.
It is filled with short comic stories from the bible (old and new testament) which are easy to read, fun and understandable.
I find myself dipping in and out of the book and get really excited about reading it.
The illustrations are all in colour and some are really funny.
I look forward to sharing this book with my Sunday school class.
I think it helps me to understand bible stories in a different way and makes me ask questions.

This book was alright, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I thought that it would be have had more funny bits added to it to keep children interested (even though it is based on the bible, they could have put funny bits in each cartoon). There are all sorts of stories from the Old and New Testament, some stories were funny and suited being told in cartoon format, others were not funny. Overall I thought it was a nicely written book, with well drawn cartoons and lots of bright colours, I just wish it had been funnier. I liked how there was a maze at the back of the book.
I would recommend this book to readers aged 7+, or those interested in learning a bit more about the bible but not wanting to read lots of words!

I thought this would be an easier way to introduce Bible stories to my daughter, especially because she enjoys pictures. It contains a variety of stories in short doses, with bits of humor thrown in. But it didn't really resonate with her. I think perhaps she's a bit young to get the humor and is more used to hearing the Bible in a more traditional way. I could see this being a great idea for readers who are already into that style of comic. We're going to continue through the book, but I'll probably go back to a children's Bible after.

A great way to introduce a broad range of Biblical stories, both Old and New Testament, to a young child. My son wanted to know more Biblical stories after having watched some Biblical stories for Minecrafters. Having seen the reviews on Toppsta I thought we would give this book a go. The illustrations are similar to those of a comic book. The Biblical stories have been abbreviated to an incredible degree and skips over things like the Death of the Pharoah's First Born Son in relation to Moses and the Plagues of Egypt, Job's children are not said to have perished etc. The Lion Kids Bible Comic, in not getting bogged down with detail and told with humour, keeps children interested and I would therefore recommend it to anyone who wants their children to have overview of the Old and New Testament.
