Lovely illustrations in this book about a rabbit that isn’t interested in books but prefers real life adventures, until he finds a lost book, which eventually changes that.
My three year old granddaughter enjoyed this as a simple story, but was a little young to pick up on the hidden messages in the illustrations- the rabbit went unnoticed by the people fixed on their mobile screens.
Would provide good talking points for discussion.

The Lost Book was really good I would recommend it for children aged 8 and under. All of rabbit town liked reading books except
Henry. When he finds a lost book it takes him on an adventure and he realises that books can be fun. A really nice colourful book.

This is such a beautiful book, full of gorgeous and endearing illustrations. The story follows a rabbit named Henry who doesn't enjoy reading and doesn't understand why everybody else where he lives loves books so much! Bobby could relate to this a lot as he is not the biggest reader, whereas his sisters and classmates are so I think this storyline and the character really engaged him from the get-go. Henry discovers a lost book which then takes him on an exciting adventure and opens up his world to experience new possibilities, meet and learn about different people and this encourages him to believe that books may not be so bad after all!

This was the perfect bedtime story for my children, it was short enough to read before bed yet still captured their attention. It's also a really great book to help encourage reluctant children to read, I love the overall yet subtle message that books and reading can enrich your life. It also had a positive message that reading is for everybody, you just have to find the right book! It was an uplifting and empowering read and as a family, we really enjoyed reading it together.

A beautiful book, beautifully illustrated. Little Henry doesn’t like books but discovering a lost book takes him on a wonderful adventure! He realises that books might not be so bad after all! Ideal bedtime story for younger children and a great book to encourage people to read!

A great idea for a story book but doesn't quite work. Henry doesn't like books, he'd rather be out playing and having fun. But then he finds a book and goes on an adventure and when he comes home he tells the story (but still doesn't read anything!) Illustrations are beautiful, very calming for bedtime.

I read this to my Year One class, and I can imagine this book being used by lots of teachers in the near future. It's a very sweet story, about a rabbit who doesn't like reading, and would prefer to go on adventures/ play. Several of the children in my class really related to this character, and in particular they loved the way he was drawn. Several of the boys commented how 'cool' he looked compared to other animal characters they have seen in stories.

When Henry finds a lost book, it takes him on an adventure beyond his everyday world. There are some great illustrations of grown ups ignoring him/ looking at phones, and I definitely could have used these as writing prompts. They also reminded our class of 'Beegu' by Alexis Deacon - so if you enjoyed that story, give this a try. Henry's connection with the little girl character was lovely, and I feel that this was the overall theme behind the book - that stories can connect us.

It's a short read that easily would fit into one sitting, but I would definitely consider it more of a thought provoking book than a 'fun read'.

I think the illustrations in this book are beautiful and you almost don’t need words to the book because the pictures are so wonderful. Unfortunately, I’m not sure there was enough character development or resolve at the end of the book. But again, really beautifully illustrated.

I read this to my niece, it was a quick read and to be honest I thought it was boring and more could have been done to the story. My niece liked the pictures
