This book examines the science skills you would need to survive in forest environments such as rainforest and temperate forests. It begins with a map showing where these habitats are located in the world. The text then looks at the features of these habitats and at how these features might help you to survive if you were on an expedition in these regions. Aspects of survival are considered and each one is supported by a science activity which the readers can perform using everyday materials and equipment. For example, it shows you what to wear, how to find your way, stay safe and, if necessary, be rescued. There is an easy-to-follow activity on every other spread.
