Wowwwww. Definitely 5 stars, I would give 10 if I could! It is amazing!
The book has super descriptions and it basically brings Henry VIII to life. It shows the different sides of character of Henry VIII and after having had the Tudor topic at school it feels like having 3D glasses on and being zoomed into history.
The main character is Will Montague.
There are no photos or illustrations but it is great without it.

I loved this book. It was a gripping read with a story line that fits within Tudor times and built in a lot of historical knowledge. I particularly enjoyed it reading about people I have heard of, events I knew about and the fact that it is written so beautifully. Plenty of opportunity for misunderstandings and for trust to break down. The fear factor was there throughout the story knowing that Henry VIII's mood could change. Certainly a few moments where I held my breath without realising as I read. A great read, thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend it if you enjoy reading about history, if you want to learn more about Tudor life or if you have learned about the Tudors and can remember lots of facts - this book will then seem like a familiar friend.

This book was really good. Takes place in 1539. Follows William Montague, page to Prince Edward, the son of King Henry VIII. Because William is liked by the King he gains a lot of enemies that come for him and his family. Learning about Tudor life as well. Great story

This was an exciting book and definitely different from the kinds of books I usually choose. It made me want to read more about Tudor times and made me feel very lucky to be alive in less dangerous times.
Definitely read this if you love history or even if you want to learn to like it more!   :D
