A fun book by Julia Donaldson, it felt different to her usual stories but that could be a change in illustrator. The story was enjoyable and my daughter like the idea of rescuing different animals.

A fun packed adventure happens when everyone has left in the morning. The flying bath takes the toys to help animals and insects who need water. A fantastic written story with bubbles words my daughter tried desperately to read herself.
I found it a fun book to read aloud it engaged both my daughters and indeed myself.
Great bright illustrations.

This book is about a flying bath that goes around doing good deeds, such as watering flowers, putting out fires it saving a fish from lack of water. The illustrations are lovely and there's characters from other Julia Donaldson books to spot. My girl loved all the fish swimming in the tank at the end, having been saved. It's not the best Julia Donaldson book but still enjoyable.

This is a Julia Donalson/David Roberts combo I had never seen or heard of before.  Lo chose it at the library. I love the style of illustration, as did lo.  The story starts very simply, as though it was written for children learning to read, with speech bubbles.  The actual body of the story identifies itself with different typeface.

This book has a high degree of repetition, which my lo loved and joined in.  The bath and toys are called to rescue animals, needing water for different reasons, which are good as learning talking points.

Lo really enjoyed it, I was not as keen, but can certainly see it’s appeal.  I enjoyed the little cameos by characters from their other books together, look out for them.

We are huge Julia Donaldson fans in this house but sadly this book seemed to lack oomph compared to other books. A good ready with full page illustrations, but lacked the usual appeal of reading time and time again.

We love Julia Donaldson's books but found that this one didn't quite hit the mark. It's beautifully illustrated but we thought that the story lacked  the engagement that we usually get with other Julia Donaldson books. The story tells the tale of three bath toys who pilot their flying bath around the world helping animals who need water when the people in their house are out during the day. It's a great idea and allowed us to discuss the many uses of water, but it hasn't really gripped my 3 and 5 year old. Usually when we get a new Julia Donaldson book, we have to reread every day for a while but this one hasn't been as popular. Overall it's not a bad book, just not as good as other JD books.
