A brilliantly funny story about not leaving friends out, from the illustrator of much-loved picture book classic, Giraffes Can't Dance.

Leopard is having a party, but he hasn't invited Aardvark. When naughty ants start biting bottoms at the birthday bash, it isn't long before all the guests are throwing their pants in the air to get rid of them! Only Aardvark can eat the ants and save the day, but will he make it to the party?

My 3 (nearly 4) year old daughter loves this story - firstly and probably most importantly its about pants and secondly she understands the storyline and likes it that they learn to be kind to everyone.
As a the reader it is just the right length and plently of scope for expression for my daughter the pictures match the story well and are colourful and interesting.  My 8yr old nephew recently read it to her and his 5yr old brother  (chosen by her as one of the three he agreed to read) and all three enjoyed it so not just for the younger ones...

Leo brought this book home from the school library and it has been an instant it. Why? Because it is about bottoms and pants, and he is a boy! He giggles all through the book!
The book is fun to read with fantastic illustrations and lines that rhyme - it reminds me of Julia Donaldson writing.
I like the message in the book that all people have a purpose and can help in ways that others can't.

This book is about a party going wrong. Leopard was having a party but he didn't invite Aardvark. Leopard didn't invite Aardvark because he doesn't eat the party food. Leopard only invited cool dudes but Aardvark didn't mind because he was having a really good time with his sister. The ants were very upset that they weren't invited too so the ants made a plan. Their plan was to get into the pants of all the animals who were invited to the party. As soon as the animals ate they got into the pants and all of the animals started to jump. At the end, Aardvark and his sister came for help! Finally Aardvark was a dude for Leopard. I liked this book because they threw their pants and Aardvark saw the pants flying and one landed on his ear. That was a bit funny, it was my favourite part. I didn't like when the ants were in their pants because it was silly and they would tickle them. I imagined what it would be like and I think it would be itchy and I would scream. My favourite characters were Aardvark and Leopard because they started to be friends and I liked friendship. I would give this book 4 stars because I think they could improve it a little bit. When the characters were throwing the pants I thought they should have made a sling shot to throw the ants and the pants away instead and then they would know what it felt like.

A fantastic animal story about friendship and birthday party.
Leopard is having a birthday party and he doesn't want to invite Aardvark because of his unusual eating habit. There is someone else has also been left out and he wants revenge.
We love this fun packed story with powerful message.
Illustrations are perfect with humorous pictures.

The author and illustrator really worked together to make this book an entire experience.
