Go into depth with the accompanying Bug Club text and ask questions that will challenge and grow a children's comprehension skills.
Share the worksheet with the children and ask them to draw a picture of themselves doing something active. Children can use their action from the spoken language session, or choose a new one. Encourage children to write a sentence beginning I can. Remind them to sound out their words carefully, offering support where needed. Ask children to read their sentence to a partner.
