This book is funny and has lots of moments that make me laugh. Many of the characters are different to each other like Pinchton and Gran, who are the complete opposite. My favourite character is Ott Weird, who lives next door to Pinchton. She meets Pinchton when he moves in and they become friends after a few chapters.

Ott is my favourite character because she is friendly, kind and occasionally a bit naughty.

I like the way the story flows and is easy to understand and summarise. I love the story!

I really enjoyed reading this book, in particular the Weird family were great!  The book made me laugh but it was a very quick read and probably written for 7 or 8 year olds.

I liked this book because it was full of adventures.  Rafe goes on holiday to Australia and he meets these mean surfer people.  They are bullying the outsiders.  Rafe helps the outsiders by making a massive creature and scaring the guests at the surfer's party.  It was another brilliant middle school adventure and I would like to read more.

Read with my 9 year old daughter.
Many giggles shared together throughout!
We are very much like ‘the weirds’ and our left hand side neighbours are ‘the primms’

When new neighbours arrive at number 17 Tidy street, life will never be the same for Pinchton Primm who soon makes friends with the Weirds next door. Mrs Weird is a stunt woman, Mr Weird is an inventor, Gran loves to cook chips, Oliver loves doing homework and then there is Otterly and Frankly as well as the mysterious house plant and strange thumping noise. This is a lovely book about friendship with a little note of mystery thrown in!

Just Plain Weird is very weird! But, I loved the book because it has loads of strange things happening. The Weird family are so weird that you don't know what they are going to do next. This was a good book for a bedtime story. I want to read more books about the Weirds.

I absolutely loved this book and think that it’s one of the best ones I have ever read. When a new family (the Weirds) move into Tidy Street they completely change the lives of their normal neighbours the Primms. My favourite characters were Pinchton the normal son of the Primm family and Frankly the muddy and a bit strange son of the Weird family. The story was really funny and made me laugh a lot. I hope they write another story about them because I’d really like to find out what it was that made the mysterious thumping noises in the Weird house!

I LOVED this book.....I read a lot and love a book that makes me laugh.  I didn't give it five stars because the book was too short.  I read it in two sittings....wish it were longer.

I really enjoyed this book and how we met all the characters first before going straight into the book and finding out who is who. Mrs Primm seems like a nosy neighbour who goes to see the new family the Weirds. She introduces herself to the children but doesn't actually meet the people that own the home.

Mrs Primm is a good name as she wants the new neighbours to tidy up the house outside as it is a mess with junk in the garden but the family are just weird and Pinchton is the son of Mr and Mrs Primm who is the one to discover all about the Weirds.

It's a fun book to read and I enjoyed it.
