When Mr Underbed keeps him awake at night, shaking the bed and snoring loudly, Jim reaches for his earmuffs... only to get more than he bargained for!

Sparking controversy in 2017 when it was compared to the Moz the Monster John Lewis Christmas ad, this classic picture book is the perfect monster under the bed tale, packed to the rafters with humour.

Read such good reviews about this book and after some children having night terrors I purchased this book. It is such a lovely story where Jim finds monsters around his room which he thinks are scary but turn out to be friendly.
Children aged 3-4 loved this book and enjoyed sharing their own monster stories and had fun drawing pictures of them and giving them friendly names.

This is a really great book, with nice illustrations too. It's perfect to help children stop worrying about noises in the night. As they all turn out to be such friendly characters. My little boy really enjoyed this book.

This is a lovely story with great illustrations. My son loved all the different characters which popped out of drawers, cupboards and toy boxes. We can firmly relate to crinkle and crumple, the top drawer twins! Matthew always likes when there is a mummy in the book for a cuddle too! This gets a big thumbs up from us :-)

I got my daughter this book after seeing it on Toppsta Facebook page. My daughter says certain noises frighten her at bedtime so thought this might help. Well she definitely loved all the characters in this book, she now wants them all to join her, in her bed for a big cuddle and has happily gone to bed without saying any noises are scaring her! Success!!!

This is a delightful book, which would be perfect for any child who has worries about monsters in their bedroom. It tells the story of a young boy named Jim who finds monsters all around his room, but discovers they are all friendly. My 2 year old son particularly likes the main character, Mr Underbed, and keeps calling him cuddly! My 5 year old daughter could read the simple story herself, and liked discussing the gorgeous drawings. I would recommend this book for a boy or a girl. An enjoyable bedtime read.

This is a wonderful book all about how silly, polite and friendly monsters really are! It's a great bedtime read for a toddler going through a spate of bad dreams. The illustrations are gorgeous. They are clear and colourful without being garish. All young children will enjoy having this book read to them, and it's accessible for those starting to read themselves, too.

Chris Riddell's iconic illustrations coupled with a funny and light hearted story about those pesky monsters who hide under your bed or in your wardrobe, has been the perfect story for my 5yo. Possessing a fear of all things night time, this book really helped my 5 yo see those bedtime ghouls and ghosties in a less menacing way and he even checked his chest of drawers to see if could spot those furry, fluffy cute little creatures who reside in your bedroom overnight. We love Chris Riddell here and this is no exception. definitely one to try if your child has a fear of the dark/night time/monsters.
