Nighty-night, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite. A nightly bedtime refrain inspires a child's adventurous imagination to conjure up ghouls and monsters and vampires, until her father soothes the scene and sleep arrives. The very mention of bedbugs fires the child's sense of imagination, and soon she is busy dispatching the bugs. When the father returns to the room to settle the child, he fails to realisze that his wish for a pleasant sleep only conjures up other creatures in the restless child's mind, this time a ghoul, a monster and a vampire.
