we really liked this book, it is a story of Miles the Kitten and his adventure around the City of London with the help of a feathered friend Cabbie. This book has a lot of content, apart from the lovely storyline and charming illustrations, there are also counting and spotting activities. This is a lovely book for children starting to read, but also an engaging book for pre-readers as they can enjoy the images and activities.

I was interested in reading this book because I wanted to pass it on to my niece who is 4 today.    This book is really lovely. Its about a little cat called Miles who lives in London. Miles follows a double decker bus into London and gets a bit lost. He meets a pigeon in Trafalgar Square called Cabbie who offers to show him round. He then gets to go round London, visiting the Queen, Tower Bridge, The Natural History Mueseum,  The London Eye and Big Ben. On a lot of the pages there are things to spot and puzzles to do which are easy.    I liked this book as it was colourful (the pictures are lovely) not too long and interesting if you either live in London, have visited before or maybe thinking of visiting. I think most children age 2 to 5 would really enjoy this. I think there is another one coming out soon which is based on Paris which I would really like to see.    A really lovely little book.

This book really has a bit of everything.  The general theme of the story is that a kitten, the eponymous Miles, goes beyond his own back garden and discovers the sights and sounds of London.  We are taken on a whistlestop tour of most of the famous attractions the city has to offer as Miles is shown around by Cabbie the pigeon.  As well as an entertaining (and in parts educational) tale the book is also full of puzzles to solve, meaning you can return to it again and again.  The illustrations are bright and charming and my 4 year old was beyond excited when he saw the drawing of the London Routemaster Bus, immediately rushing to get his 2 matching models and promptly driving them over the page!

Miles around London introduces us to a cat called Miles and his adventures in our great capital city. My son Finn was excited to learn about various landmarks in London and enjoyed the activities that accompanied the story. I would say that if you are going on a trip to London this book would be a great idea to introduce a child to what they might see and do there. His favourite part of the book was when Miles meets the Queen of England!
