"Truth, Spirituality and Contemporary Issues" is written to meet the requirements of the new AQA Short Course specification of the same name. The book follows the specification exactly whilst, at the same time, encourages students to think about the points they make and the issues they meet. Providing information from both secular and religious viewpoints students are encouraged to assess and evaluate these responses whilst developing ideas of their own. The first half of the book looks at Nature and Expression, focusing on the nature of truth, claims to truth and ways of expressing spirituality in society. The second half focuses on religious responses to contemporary issues such a drug abuse, the media and crime.
