This is one of my sons favourites. Perfect bedtime story to snuggle up to.
We loved reading about Douglass trying to find a good hug and all the funny ways he tried along the way. It was really funny when he hugged the bush!
We particularly like reading about all the different hugs at the back of the book and trying them.

What a truly lovely book for my daughter to enjoy.
Douglas the bear needed a hug and look everywhere for a hug.
He met lots of new friends but no hug like the best hug from his mum.
A lovely story for cuddles on mummy.

First book in the set about a bear hugless dougless who wakes up one morning wanting a hug. My 2-4 yrs old loves this book and giggled about all the ways Hugless tried to get a hug. We especially enjoyed all the different kinds at the back of the book which the children talked about for days afterwards.

We can't read this book without cuddling up together! Poor Hugless Douglas all he wants is a good hug but nothing feels just right. A delightful funny story following his search for someone to give him that perfect hug. Always gets my kids laughing especially the rabbit who didn't want a hug! We've read a few other Hugless Douglas books since but this remains our favourite.

This is a nice book about a hapless young bear searching for the best hug and finding it right back where he started, in his cave with his mum. My daughter likes the different animals Douglas tries to hug and I like the list of different hugs at the back!
