Mary is scary, she knows that for sure. She scares the postman, the sharks at the aquarium - everyone and everything in fact. But then she meets an unlikely adversary: a dog who does not appear at all frightened of Scary Mary one tiny bit. Soon adversaries become friends and off they set to scare whoever they come across even to their own surprise!

Anne Cottringer was born in Canada, and studied at the Slade School of Art and the Royal College of Art. She has written several picture books already, and she is also a producer/director/camerawoman. Her most recent project was a short documentary on a group of genocide survivors in Rwanda. She is married and has two children.
