Lulu is the smallest and youngest of her duck family but she is the most curious and adventurous. One day while out looking for pebbles with her sisters she finds herself distracted by a beautiful purple butterfly flittering over head. Before long she is lost among the reeds. How will she get home? And will the frog king be able to help her find the purple pebble she wants so badly? A tale of hope, wonder and realising that if you try hard enough anything is possible.

Adam Oehlers grew up in Coventry, England before his family moved to Adelaide when he was eight. He has studied arts and illustration at Adelaide University and graduated with honours in 2002. A Babble of Words is Adam's debut book, however he also illustrated the Brolga title Lulu and the Purple Pebble by Chad Badoui.
