Cambridge Mathematics Direct is a structured set of maths resources for primary schools. It is linked to the Framework for teaching mathematics and follows the approach suggested by the National Numeracy Strategy. It provides everything that is needed to plan, teach and assess the Daily Maths Lesson in a simple and manageable way. CMD 5 Planning Pack provides teachers with resources to use for planning and keeping records. It covers the three strands of Cambridge Mathematics Direct: Numbers, Calculations, and Shape, Space, Measures and Handling Data. Linking grids save teachers' time in matching lessons to the NNS Framework objectives. Covering years 4, 5 and 6 on one page for each strand, they also make easy the planning of teaching for mixed aged classes or pupils at either extreme of the ability range. An overview grid gives one possible order for teaching the lessons and a record sheet for the key objectives is included. There are ideas for effective use of any available extra adult help.
