Harry Potter, along with his best friends, Ron and Hermione, is about to start his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harary can't wait to get back to school after the summer holidays. (Who wouldn't if they lived with the horrible Dursleys?) But when Harry gets to Hogwarts, the atmosphere is tense. There's an escaped mass murderer on the loose, and the sinister prison guards of Azkaban have been called in to guard the school. 'The most eagerly awaited children's book for years.' - "The Evening Standard". 'The Harry Potter books are that rare thing, a series of stories adored by by parents and children alike'. - "The Daily Telegraph". All the Harry Potter books are now available in large print.

uite amazing how the author mapped out the whole plot with hawcruxes etc from the first novel, knitting it all together like one long story but nicely divided into Potter's different years at school.

With all these DVDs, though, there is quite a bit missing in regards to the books as there is just not enough space in the dvd to cover the whole thing. So, right after you see the dvd, I would highly recommend that you get yourself an Audio-Book, and listen to Stephen Fry telling you the longer story of what happened in The Prisoner of Azkaban. (Fry communicates the different voices excellently.) That way, you have all the images from the dvd and you can run your imagination with all that in place. Like two exciting stories from one.

Harry potter and the prisoner of Azkaban is one the most sentimental stories in the whole series, JK Rowling picks her self up in this one there was not a dull sentence in the entire book and more mystery in it than there was in The chamber of secrets. The time traveling is what made this story an awesome one, Sirius Black is a wonderful character who also made the story more interesting.
The Harry potter series is so full of surprises, you hate a character from what you've read about them and then your slapped in the face once you've finished the story and they become you're favourite.

I must add that the film did justice to this book, if you haven't seen it . Then what are you waiting for.?

This is the third book in the series.  This time we meet 'Mass Murderer Sirius Black', and Buckbeak the amazing hippogriff.  Hagrid is made Professor of Magical Creatures we find out that Ron's pet rat isn't just any rat.  Another great book, one of my favourites from the whole series.  Even if you have seen the books you will get so much more out the books.  The films miss out so much information.  This is a series that everyone should read.

Harry Potter and the prisoner is azkaban is a really good story, you get to know more about Harry's family and his godfather.

My favourite part was when they are in the shrieking shack because you get to find out all the things that happened to the mauraders in the past.  It's a bit sad at the end where Sirius has to go away.

Everyone who loves the films should read the books because there is so much more in the books.

This book is great! The third book in the Harry Potter series. Yay! My favourite characters in this book are Sirius Black (The murderer who escaped from askaban prison) and professor lupin (The new defence against the dark arts teacher) and my favourite parts were when Harry and Hermione used the time changer necklace to go back in time and when the night bus came. This book is great and I can’t wait to read the next one! Recommended to age 10 plus.
