Cambridge Reading is a major new reading scheme which provides stimulating books and support materials for the teaching of reading throughout the primary years. Key features include: a coherent yet flexible structure for teaching and learning; a variety of high quality, attractive picture books; a balance of different text types and genres, including stories, poems and information books; an integrated phonics programme; comprehensive support materials. The Cambridge Reading International Sample Pack contains a sample of materials from the first three phases of Cambridge Reading - Beginning to Read, Becoming a Reader and Towards Independence. The pack contains the following story books: Incy Wincy Spider (8 pp.), My Pet (8 pp.), Dinosaur (16 pp.), Yasmin's Box (16 pp.), Tiger Dreams (24 pp.), Cutting and Sticking (24 pp.), Volcano Woman (32 pp.), Welcome Night (32 pp.). Also included are: The First Fifty Words Sight Vocabulary Book 4; sample introductory pages and worksheets from Teacher's Book 2; a chart comparing Cambridge Reading with other major reading schemes; and a brochure.
